Sheffield united match review against Chelsea

Chelsea failed to break down their lowly opponents Sheffield United currently bottom of the Premiership Table after going ahead twice in the match!

After going ahead relatively early in the first half through their 39-year-old center-back Thiago Silva, Chelsea looked like they were going to dominate but to the credit of the hosts The Blades fought back and grabbed an equalizer in the 32nd minute through Jayden Bogle.

The game went a bit flat with both sides having few chances until Chelsea bagged a fine solo goal from Madueke leaving the keeper with little chance after being poorly positioned to make a stop.

The Blades again fought on and with only 5 minutes of the match remaining they grabbed another equalizer this time from Oli Mcburnie slotting in from the rebound at close range, after a long VAR check the goal was given and then all Sheffield United had to do was run the clock down but again to their credit they pushed for a winner and even came close on occasion.

Chelsea will be going back to London with a flea in their ear no doubt as this should have been a match they should be taking all 3 points from!

Verdict

Chelsea played to a certain standard that we have come to expect but we cannot knock the home team here Sheffield United dug in and deserved at least a point from this one, they played markedly better than Chelsea expected and it showed.
